Mendelian randomization for causal inference in precision dementia medicine symposium
Alan Turing Institute, first floor of the British Library, London
DEMON network symposium in collaboration with the Precision Dementia Medicine Turing Interest Group
Mendelian randomization is a key approach to the causal modelling of observational data and can advance our understanding of dementia risk factors. This in turn helps to address the limitations of clinical trials, which are typically of short duration with limited interventions. However, the implementation of Mendelian randomization requires great care, and this knowledge transfer event will bring together experts and other interested to move the field of precision dementia medicine forward.
Abstract submission closes 30 September 2023. Submissions on research applying Mendelian randomization to dementia / cognitive outcome or developing Mendelian randomization methods that could advance causal inference for dementia research are welcomed.
