online

Hosted by the University of Bristol's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Team

In this event, Lewis will be discussing the perceptions of masculinity and what this means with respect to men recognising the need for help, asking for help and where to seek help, particularly in relation to mental health. The session will be around 45 minutes with 15 minutes for questions at the end.

Lewis is an academic and social psychologist who is a visiting lecturer at the University of the West of England, alongside managing Project Zazi. He has been involved in projects such as: Black Bristol (Creative Director) - an interactive timeline exploring some of Bristol's most important history; Mendable (Creator/Host) - a podcast founded from his 'The Crisis of Masculinity' TEDx talk, exploring taken for granted assumptions of masculinity; and Masculinities (Creator) - a Project Zazi workshop series providing a therapeutic space for young men in Bristol to explore their masculinity.
