Elizabeth Blackwell Institute Lunchtime LINKS (Learning, Innovation, Networking, Knowledge and Support)

The Elizabeth Blackwell Institute (EBI) are pleased to announce a new series of events called EBI Lunchtime LINKS (Learning, Innovation, Networking, Knowledge and Support) to enable early and mid career researchers to make links with their peers in a supportive and motivational environment to help them grow and excel in their fields.

These events will be held over a lunch period for approximately 1.5 hours and will feature a guest speaker on a variety of topics with an opportunity for questions and answers. This will be followed by a light lunch and the opportunity to meet and talk to peers in yours and other faculties, representatives from EBI and the Division of Research, Enterprise and Innovation (DREI).

Our first lunchtime LINKS session has been scheduled for Monday 27 November from 12.30 - 14.00 in the Verdon Smith room, Royal Fort House. Our speaker will be Rhiannon Wilson, PolicyBristol Associate, who works with researchers in health, veterinary and life sciences to ensure their research informs and influences policy and practice. Rhiannon’s talk will be aimed those with little or no experience of PolicyBristol but all levels of experience are welcome to attend.

Join us for some food for thought. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Contact Sarah Eyland on ebi-events@bristol.ac.uk if you wish to attend by midday on Wednesday 22 November 2023. Please also let us know if you have any dietary or accessibility requirements. (NB. The Verdon Smith room is on the 1st floor of Royal Fort House with no lift access, but we can look at other venues if accessibility is an issue for anyone).
