Much is said about the ongoing digital transformation of industries, firms, and work. Yet we know little about how change processes actually unfold. Wild speculations and futurist claims are abundant, but there is no clear way to parse through these. In response, this talk offers an approach to studying the social practices that result in accelerated technological change.
