A series of lively discussion events with the next generation of researchers. They will explore big themes impacting society today, from tackling the climate crisis to the future of robots and the mental health of children in the digital age.
The growing pressures of social media and the impact of the pandemic are taking a toll on the mental health of children and young adults today. Research shows early intervention is important, with half of adults with mental health problems first experiencing symptoms by the age of 14.
Our panel of researchers will shine a light on some new and disruptive approaches to tackling the issues impacting the mental health of children and young adults today, from social media to lifestyle and ill health. The audience will be encouraged to join the discussion, as we explore ground-breaking solutions with the potential to create a brighter, healthier future for a generation of young people facing more challenges than ever before.
Free wine, soft drinks and nibbles will be included with your ticket.
This event is being organised by the Elizabeth Blackwell Institute in partnership with the Bristol Doctoral College at the University of Bristol as part of our Research Without Borders 2022 series.
