- Jag Majithia - Hindu Student Chaplain
Jag draws on lived experience as a Hindu, and over a decade working in higher education, learning development, and pastoral care in multifaith settings. Her chaplaincy work, both here and at UWE Bristol has included advising on festival observance and supporting colleagues with faith literacy and cultural awareness.
Accompanying individuals as they explore questions such as identity, belonging, grief, loss, and cultural complexity, Jag provides reflective support, including for students who are culturally or partially connected to faith but may not practise.
She is skilled at working across traditions and beliefs, with individuals regardless of worldview or background. Her approach is grounded in active listening, cultural humility, and holding space where one can explore meaning and wellbeing on their own terms.
