This appointment to the governing body of one of the UK’s major public funders of research in engineering, mathematics and physics, reflects Catherine’s outstanding contributions to advancing mathematics education and research.
Professor Hobbs will bring a wealth of experience from senior academic leadership roles including her current appointment as Director of the Institute for Learning and Teaching in Mathematics and Chair of the Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research, and national professional bodies.
