University of Bristol team’s success at the Imperial-Cambridge Mathematics Competition (ICMC) 2025

Congratulations to the university of Bristol team who took park in this prestigious Maths competition.

The ICMC (Imperial–Cambridge Mathematics Competition) is run by students and alumni from Imperial College London and the University of Cambridge, and aims to provide undergraduate and master’s students with an opportunity to enjoy non-bookwork competitive mathematics.
From the 20 University of Bristol students competing, four qualified for the second round. In the end, Leonid Tyulenev ranked in 8th position overall, out of 95 participants. This won him a silver medal, whilst visiting student, Paul Hametner won a bronze medal and Thammadol Tansrivorarat, from the School of Computer Science, was given an honourable mention.
Huge congratulations to everyone who took part and represented the university so wonderfully.
