Quantum field theory and holography

8 September 2025, 11.00 AM - 9 September 2025, 2.30 PM

The School of Mathematics at the University of Bristol will host`HoloUK4’, on 8th – 9th September 2025. This event is the latest in a series of regional meetings on quantum field theory and holography in the South of England, aiming to connect and strengthen collaboration between research groups. Particular topics of interest include AdS/CFT, connections to quantum information, many-body quantum chaos, de Sitter space and matrix models. The Holo UK series was initiated by Tarek Anous, Damián Galante, Felix Haehl and Mark Mezei, with previous events taking place at the Royal Institution and Wadham College, University of Oxford.  This latest event is supported by Fundamental Physics UK and by the United Kingdom Research and Innovation through the Horizon Europe Guarantee Scheme, `Strongly Interacting Quantum Dynamics’, EP/Y00468X/1. Registration for the event is available through the `HoloUK’ website.

Invited speakers include:

Edgar Shaghoulian – University of California Santa Cruz
Sašo Grozdanov – University of Ljubljana and University of Edinburgh
Silvia Georgescu – King’s College London
Thomas Colas – University of Cambridge
Adrián Sánchez-Garrido – University of Southampton
