University of Bristol graduates can continue to make use of our print collections and JSTOR access for independent learning after graduation.

JSTOR alumni access

Alumni can continue to have off-campus access to JSTOR, a digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources.

To access JSTOR, you will need:

Open JSTOR via Alumniate

For JSTOR alumni support, contact the Alumni Office.

Regrettably, we cannot provide alumni with access to other online resources.

Day Reader pass

If you only need to visit the library once or an infrequent basis, it may be easiest to apply for a Day Reader pass to the Arts and Social Sciences Libary.

Graduate Visitor Card (free)

If you need continued access to the library, apply for a year’s free access to the Arts and Social Sciences Library.

eResource access is not included

To apply:

We aim to make your card available for collection from the Arts and Social Sciences Library within 5 working days.

Graduate Borrower Card (£60 per year)

If you need to borrow books, apply for a paid Graduate Borrower Card.

  • Access to the Arts and Social Sciences Library during staffed hours
  • Request books from other libraries for consultation
  • Borrow up to 20 books simultaneously

eResource access is not included.
