Labour unrest in the Georgian era

Labour unrest in the Georgian era

This document provides a remarkable testimony to the robust methods employed in an early modern industrial dispute and to the context of the open-air preaching by Wesley, Whitefield and Cennick in Kingswood and other parts of the West, by which they sought to reach out to those beyond the margins of the establishment. It is preserved in the papers of the Paget family at DM106/421.
