Arts & Social Sciences Library, temporary closure
The Arts and Social Sciences Library (ASSL) is currently closed whilst we create some exciting new spaces on the ground floor. Please check this page regularly for updates, including access and service information.
The ASSL is currently closed and due to reopen in October. To support your studies and research until we reopen, the Wills Memorial Library is open for extended hours 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Prebooked visits to our Special Collections are not be affected. Please contact the team at special-collections@bristol.ac.uk if you have any questions.
If you need a book from the Arts and Social Sciences Library print collection, please make a reservation and select an alternative library as your collection point.
If you need to return an item, you can do this at any of our other libraries. We also have a book bin located outside the front entrance to ASSL, but please do return books from other libraries to the location you borrowed them from if possible!
The Library Support Team will not be running drop-ins over the Summer, but you can contact them by email to make an appointment or make an enquiry at library-support@bristol.ac.uk
The Day Reader Scheme for visitors and SCONUL Access will be accommodated at the Education Library, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. If you need an item from our print collection, please use our book retrieval service: www.bristol.ac.uk/library/use/visitor-access/day-reader/
The IT Counter and Student Laptop and Mobile Clinic will be temporarily moving location to just inside the rear entrance of the Fry Building (School of Mathematics). All existing services and opening hours will remain the same, but the location will be different.
