Widening Participation

Realising potential

We are committed to creating a diverse student community. Our outreach activities nurture talent amongst groups under-represented in higher education, encouraging them to consider university. For those who become our students, there is continued support, to help them realise their full potential.

  • Bursaries and Scholarships
Our bursaries and scholarships help remove some of the financial burden for talented young people from all backgrounds.
  • Schools Outreach
Our outreach work aims to give school pupils, college students and others in the community an insight into what studying at a top university would be like.
  • Community Engagement
We take our role in the community very seriously involving working with education charities, community groups and taking part in public events.
  • Hardship Fund
The Hardship Grant Committee makes small grants of up to £750 available to students in the Law School experiencing exceptional financial hardship.
