It is with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Prof. Christof Heyns.

Members of the HRIC have had the honour of working with Prof. Heyns over the years and the privilege of being able to appreciate his warmth, enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to human rights. He will be deeply missed and our thoughts are with his family and many colleagues and friends.
