University of Bristol Law School announces new partnership with Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University

The University of Bristol Law School has signed a new 1+1 LLM partnership with Yong Pung How School of Law, Singapore Management University (SMU) allowing students to gain two LLM degrees from world-renowned law schools.

The agreement, signed on 12th March, 2026 allows students to gain two LLM degrees from two world-renowned law schools, providing a powerful advantage in the competitive global legal market.

SMU was selected for being internationally recognised for its world-class research and teaching. All of Bristol Law School’s LLM programmes are included under this partnership. SMU LLMs include: LLM Cross Border Business and Finance Law in Asia, LLM Law and Technology and LLM Judicial Studies.

This is another example of the University of Bristol’s commitment to providing international opportunities and pathways that enhance graduate employability and professional readiness. It will allow students to gain deeper specialisation, have a stronger international profile and increase professional networks in both the UK and Asia.

The new partnership is open to applications with immediate effect and students will also benefit from a discount on tuition fees from both institutions. Students who wish to study at Bristol for year two will need to apply via our Global Transfer Programme route. For students who wish to study at Bristol for year one and SMU for year two, must apply directly to SMU.
