Think Big Career Accelerator

Scholars will be invited to attend a programme of career events, workshops and networking opportunities, and receive a £3,000 scholarship.

Eligibility

The Think Big Career Accelerator is for applicants with overseas fee status who have applied for an eligible master's programme. 

The Career Accelerator launched in 2025 for eligible postgraduate taught master's programmes, thanks to additional funding from the Business School and the Faculty of Science & Engineering.

In 2026 we are delighted to announce that all one-year postgraduate masters programmes are now eligible for the Think Big Career Accelerator, including MRes programmes. 

There are additional Career Accelerator awards for applicants studying in the following subject areas:

• Business School
• Faculty of Science & Engineering
• School of Modern Languages
• School of Economics
• Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship

What's included

The Think Big Career Accelerator will include:

• Access to the exclusive online Career Accelerator pathway offering a year-long journey of career preparation, growth and reflection 
• Welcome reception with fellow scholars and esteemed academics.
• A series of lectures led by distinguished University of Bristol professors and the chance to attend prestigious guest speaker events.
• Think Big Career Accelerator workshops, providing insights on how to find your ideal role, prepare for job applications, enhance your CV and improve interview skills.

The Career Accelerator also includes a £3,000 scholarship towards your tuition fees.

How to apply

You must submit an application to study at the University of Bristol before applying for an international scholarship. Read through the application guidance before starting your scholarship application.

Our simple online form makes it easy to apply for the Career Accelerator, as well as our Think Big postgraduate scholarship and any other University of Bristol international scholarships you are eligible for. You will only need to complete one form to be considered for all relevant scholarships.

The Think Big Career Accelerator award cannot be used together with a Think Big postgraduate scholarship.

Application timeline

Before starting your scholarship application, you must have applied to study at the University of Bristol and received an application ID.

Candidates who are awarded a Think Big Career Accelerator in Round 1 will be considered for a Think Big Postgraduate Scholarship in May 2026. If you are successfully awarded a Think Big postgraduate scholarship, your Think Big Career Accelerator award will be updated to a Think Big Postgraduate Scholarship.
