Ania Gordon, BA in History, Bristol
I loved studying History at Bristol, and it definitely gave me the tools, knowledge and passion to help me get my job in marketing at the publisher, Penguin Random House. I began working at Penguin as an assistant, marketing non-fiction books, and one of the first projects I worked on was actually the book of one of my Bristol professors, Fernando Cervantes, so that was a full circle moment for both of us! Now, as Head of Marketing, I create marketing campaigns for a range of genres, but always use my analytical skills, copywriting and curiosity for every book I am lucky enough to work on. I learnt so much of this at Bristol and found that the people in the History Department were absolutely incredible and the tutors went above and beyond to help students. They definitely nurtured my love of history and history books are still my favourite genre to read and work on!
