The PeaceTech Exchange
The Interdisciplinary PeaceTech Network (IPTN)
What is PeaceTech?
PeaceTech is the multiple ways that technology is being used to advance peace and sustainability around the globe. It also encompasses the shaping of society by technology, with subsequent effects on social dynamics on and offline.
What does the network do?
We promote skill sharing and mutual understanding across the very different fields of technology and peacebuilding.
Our diverse network encompasses tech, academic and practice backgrounds from institutions and organisations across the UK and beyond. Our focus is on addressing the gap in understanding and skills between the peacebuilding and tech worlds, with related implications for future research and practice.
How have the JGI helped on this network?
The JGI team have provided valuable insights into the potential role of data science in peacebuilding, have enabled the production of literature reviews furthering the understanding of PeaceTech and administrative support to convene and grow network related activities and events.
