How important is protest in shaping the Bristol we know today? Who is written into history and who is not? Whose histories are hidden or erased? Why and how might we remember these histories in museums? Through film, artefacts, presentations and story telling the panel and participants will look at recent dissent in the history of Bristol and consider the impact of protest movements led by some of our most marginalised communities.

Following presentations roundtables will address questions such as: what do we mean by dissent? Who has the right to be a dissenter? What are the spaces for dissent and talking to "the enemy".
