Each year, ICE Publishing acknowledges the best work published in their journals at the ICE Publishing Awards ceremony, held at One Great George Street in London, UK.
Awards are given to authors from both industry and academia who have produced work judged by their peers to be of exceptional quality and benefit to the civil engineering, construction and materials science community.
This year Dr Andrea Diambra and Dr Riccardo Corti from the University of Bristol, in collaboration with Dr Shiao Huey Chow, Prof Christophe Gaudin and Dr Conleth O'Loughlin from the Centre for Offshore Foundation Systems, University of Western Australia, received the Thomas Telford Premium award (Journal Prize for Best Paper in Géotechnique Letters) for their paper titled ‘Drained cyclic capacity of plate anchors in dense sand: Experimental and theoretical observations’.Dr Diambra will be visiting COFS in December to strengthen the collaboration that led to this award winning paper.
