We are excited to return to China this year for a spectacular Graduation Celebration in Beijing, to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our 2024 graduating students and to officially welcome you to your Bristol alumni community.  

While our China celebration events do not replace the Bristol ceremonies during which degrees are officially conferred, they give graduates the opportunity to enjoy the key traditional aspects of a ceremony, including graduation gowns; the chance to have their names read out and to cross the stage; have photos taken by a professional photographer; and be addressed by senior members of the University. There are also refreshments and fun, interactive Bristol-themed activities. 

The 2024 graduation celebration will be hosted by Professor Evelyn Welch, President and Vice-Chancellor, who will be joined by other senior University staff. Hosted in the spectacular luxury hotel Rosewood Beijing, there will be drinks, canapés and speeches.  

This is a special occasion for 2024 graduates based in China to reunite with friends from Bristol and celebrate their degree.  

Who is invited: The Graduation Celebration is for students who graduated from the University of Bristol in 2024, or those who graduated in 2023 but were unable to attend the Graduation Celebration in Shanghai last year.  

Date: Saturday 9 November 2024, 1 pm – 6 pm (CST). 

Location: Rosewood Beijing Hotel, Grand Ball Room, Jing Guang Centre, Hujialou, Chaoyang District, Beijing 100020, PRC, China 

Ticket prices: Tickets for graduates cost £125 each, and guest tickets cost £30 each. Each graduate can purchase 1 guest ticket at this stage. If you are interested in purchasing additional guest tickets at a later date, please tick the relevant box in the purchase form. 

Ticket prices for graduates include a gown, hood and mortarboard that you can keep, individual studio professional photographs and a gift bag with University of Bristol merchandise. Tickets for graduates and guests also include drinks and canapés on the day.
