The team scored comprehensive wins over Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and the University of Exeter in the opening two rounds, before negotiating the extended quarter-final stage.
A win over a strong team from the Open University and a tense tie break loss to Darwin College, Cambridge was followed by victory over Queen's University Belfast to claim their place in the final four, where their run was eventually ended by Christ's College, Cambridge in the episode broadcast on April 21.
The team's achievement of reaching the semi-finals represents one of Bristol's best ever performances on University Challenge, indeed second only to the team of 2022/23 which finished as runners-up.
