The Cabot Institute provided me with so many opportunities beyond a standard research degree which were invaluable to me in finding my new career in an energy and climate change think tank. I was able to attend so many amazing events such as panel discussions, lectures and discussion groups which broadened my thinking and gave me real-world perspective on my research. I was also able to get specialist training such as press release and writing training which I now use on a day-to-day basis in my new career.
Working with Cabot has definitely launched me onto the exciting path of science communication, and whatever I do from here I know that I'll rely heavily on everything I've learned and the experience I've gained with you!
The writing skills that I developed have been invaluable in securing my job and for my day-to-day responsibilities.
