In collaboration with the Natural Environment Research Council, the University of Bristol is delighted to have been invited to host the 2027 NERC Digital Gathering, scheduled for early September 2027.
We look forward to welcoming delegates to Bristol for this key event in the digital and environmental science research and innovation calendar.
This key event will bring together the NERC research community to explore and highlight the increasing role of digital technologies and innovation in environmental science. This will include focus areas linked to curiosity-driven research, responding to government strategic and societal priorities, supporting innovative companies and enabling and strengthening UK R&D.
You will:
- Have the opportunity to share your own digital research highlights
- Take part in workshops and hackathons
- Discover the latest outcomes from NERC-funded research programmes
- Gain insights into the ongoing work of the Environmental Data Service and NERC’s data centres
- Hear from digital innovation leaders in both industry and policy
- Explore future funding opportunities and planned investments
