Careers

Biological Sciences degrees are very flexible and can lead to an exciting array of meaningful careers from research to conservation, biotechnology to policy development.

As well as research or teaching, qualified biologists and zoologists roles can champion conservation of our environment and the species within it.

Whether that’s working for charities or public bodies to increase awareness or create and implement new policies, measuring soil health, preserving our water quality and developing resilient crops to aid food security, we have relied on the communication of passionate zoologists who became natural history film-makers to understand our planet, ecosystems and the challenges species face.

From programmes like Planet Earth and Blue Planet that bring these fascinating stories into our living rooms, which are so vital to build awareness of the world around us, studying with us gives you the building blocks to change the world.
