One award will be made to an individual (academic) who provides dissertation support to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students and who meet some (or ideally all) of the following criteria: 

• supports students to develop as researchers, for example, by nurturing curiosity, persistence, and a love of learning
• helps to create a stimulating research environment  
• are approachable, supportive and offer high quality advice and guidance
