Bristol Arts Film Screening: Celebrating cycling
Professor Martin Hurcombe; The Bristol Bike Project
Online - register for link
You are warmly invited to the third Bristol Arts Film screening, open to all staff and students from the University of Bristol.
As lockdown restrictions begin to ease and spring is all around us, we will be celebrating the bicycle by showing two short documentaries about cycling (Mama Agatha by Fadi Hindash, and 10 Years and Counting by Touchpaper Productions) and discussing its relationship with overall wellbeing.
This month we are joined by Martin Hurcombe, Professor of French Studies at the University of Bristol, who will introduce the ‘Active in Lockdown’ project, as well as by members of UK community organisations that offer support to disadvantaged communities through a wide range of bike-related activities, like The Bristol Bike Project (https://thebristolbikeproject.org/).
If you would like to attend, please register here. Registration is free, and we will circulate the screening link to all registered participants nearer the time. You can find out more on our Facebook page. Please do spread the word, and we look forward to seeing you online!
