Bristol graduate lands position at the Baltimore Museum of Art

Bristol graduate Joanna Karlgaard recently accepted a position as Project Cataloguer in the Department of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs at the Baltimore Museum of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. She will be researching, inventorying and cataloguing the approximately 8,000 prints by Northern European artists in the Garrett collection at the BMA. The position is funded by an IMLS grant. Joanna wrote her PhD thesis at Bristol on the subject of 'Frederick Sandys and Victorian Illustration'. It was supervised by Professor Elizabeth Prettejohn and Dr Grace Brockington.
