We have a limited number of rooms available for students who have previously lived in University accommodation. You will be classed as a returner and eligible to apply in this round of applications if you;
- are currently studying on the International Foundation Programme,
- are currently studying a foundation or gateway course,
- are living in residences currently and have an evidenced health need or disability that means you would find it difficult to find suitable accommodation in the private sector,
- have previously suspended your studies and are returning to University.
Please note that the availability of returner accommodation is extremely limited and an offer of accommodation is not guaranteed to any group of students other than those on the International Foundation Programme. Students with a health need or disability will be given priority for any remaining spaces.
Only certain residences are used for returner accommodation, so it will not usually be possible for you to continue living in the same residence as the previous year.
Undergraduate returner accommodation
Applications for Undergraduate returner accommodation are open throughout February each year and those eligible will receive an email inviting them to make their application. If you do not receive an invitation to apply but live in residence, you can still make an application but we are very unlikely to be able to offer you a place if you are not in one of the categories above.
Applications for Undergraduate students wanting to return to University-allocated accommodation for the next academic year (2021/22) are now closed. If you have missed the deadline you will need to apply for accommodation in the private sector, please be aware that late submissions can not be accepted.
Postgraduate returner accommodation
Applications for Postgraduate students wanting to return to University-allocated accommodation for the next academic year (2021/22) are now closed. If you have missed the deadline you will need to apply for accommodation in the private sector, please be aware that late submissions can not be accepted.
Where else can I look for accommodation?
