Bristol University Student: RCPCH Child Health Prize winner

8 May 2025

This year's Bristol RCPCH Child Health Prize winner was Amelia Fortescue.  Amelia recently attended the RCPCH conference in Glasgow as the Bristol prize winner and a Centre for Academic Child Health representative.  Amelia scored highest in her application from all the other Bristol applicants.

In relation to the conference Amelia said:  "The RCPCH 2025 conference was filled with inspiring keynote and subspeciality talks including, ultra-process food, young people’s health, palliative care, sustainable medicine, rare diseases, and emergency medicine. I was able to attend talks on fascinating areas not able to be included at an undergraduate level that have further fuelled my ambitions of a career in Paediatrics. It was a privilege to be amongst, and meet, some of the clinicians shaping the future of Child Health in the UK."
