The Small Print Bit

This web site has been prepared to explain the details of UBPAS which provides a wide range of benefits covering many different situations – not just retirement.  You should note that this web site is only a guide to UBPAS.  Full details are contained in the formal Trust Deed and Rules which are available for inspection.  In the event of a discrepancy between this booklet and the Trust Deed and Rules, the Trust Deed and Rules will prevail.

Pension is a complex subject, so this web site has been kept as simple and straightforward as possible.  Therefore, it could be that there are some points which are not entirely clear and if this is the case you should take up any queries about the web site, or UBPAS itself, with the Pensions Office.  Whilst the Pensions Office is able to help you with details of the scheme, by virtue of Financial Services Authority (FSA) rules, it is unable to provide you with any financial advice.  You are encouraged to consult an independent financial adviser before making any decision.

Note: The guidance in this web site is based on tax and pension law as at March 2007, which may change in future, and is intended as a guide only.  The Trust Deed and Rules that govern UBPAS shall always be applied in questions of legal interpretation regarding the Scheme and will override the provisions of this booklet.
