KIS information

KIS stands for Key Information Sets: like every university in the UK, we are required to provide a set of information on various aspects of our undergraduate courses. KIS data is designed for UK applicants, but we hope that international applicants will find it useful too. The KIS categories cover a range of areas, and here we provide a brief explanation of the data.

These figures are drawn from the National Student Survey (NSS), an annual survey of final final-year undergraduates. The University also gathers student feedback through unit and course questionnaires, student/staff consultative committees, the Students’ Union and an annual student barometer survey. We consider feedback carefully and wherever possible changes are made to help improve our students’ overall experience.

Please note KIS data will not be published for courses advertised 'subject to approval'

KIS data is shown for new courses from the first year that that the course starts recruiting applicants (i.e. the year prior to the first students enrolling). KIS information will initially be limited but will increase over time as the course becomes established. National Student Survey (NSS) and Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) data for a new course may be taken from other courses within the same subject area until data for the new course becomes available.
