Subject enrichment
As well as raising the aspirations and awareness of young people, Aimhigher at the University of Bristol aims to lift the achievement levels of young people by introducing them to the world-class teaching facilities at the University can provide. Working in partnership with schools and colleges, members of academic staff construct short programmes with the aim of improving the achievement levels of young people.
Activities that make up the subject enrichment day might include lectures, seminars, presentations and field, laboratory or studio work. In every case, the programme of activities is tightly focused and closely related to the subject curriculum of the young people concerned.
