Application for Assistance with Child Care Costs from the International Hardship Fund 2011/2012
The International Hardship Fund is a very limited fund, which has been set up with funds donated by alumni and friends of the University to support students at Bristol. A very small percentage of this fund is set aside to assist international students with childcare costs each year. Application forms are available from the Student Funding Office. The closing date for application is Friday 16 December 2011 for the 2011/12 academic year.
Once all applications have been received by 16th December , the very limited funds will be shared amongst applicants dependant on need. There is no guarantee of an award. Students will be informed of the outcome of their application by the end of January 2012.
Students seeking help must demonstrate that they had made adequate arrangements to support themselves and pay their tuition and accommodation fees, as well as living costs, prior to commencing their programme of study.
Child care payments will not normally be paid where a partner is available to provide child care.
Students will be required to provide written evidence of their child care costs from their child care provider(s) for the 2011/12 academic year.
