Swiss Government Scholarships
Introduction
The Swiss Government is offering nationals of the United Kingdom two scholarships for postgraduate students, whose stay in Switzerland is meant to enable them to improve their knowledge and to carry out research on those subjects for which the Swiss universities are particularly noted. In addition one scholarship may be awarded to music and art students. The scholarship is tenable for one year study (nine months), and can generally not be extended.
Eligibility
Candidates must have a sound knowledge of their subject and an application must be accompanied by a 'study plan'. Applicants must have been born after 1 January 1960 and should not already have had several years professional experience after finishing their studies. A good working knowledge of the language of the university of their choice, ie either French or German.
