Hong Kong Alumni Scholarships
This scheme is for students wishing to apply for funding for entry in 2012/13. The information below refers to that year and will act as a guide.
This Scholarship was established by the Hong Kong Branch of Convocation. The Scholarship is awarded on the grounds of academic excellence, financial need and future potential contribution to Hong Kong. The Scholarship will be up to £14,000, to be offset against the tuition fees payable to the University, for a one year Masters' programme in any field of study. The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate both the need for some financial assistance and the ability to fund the balance of the costs involved in undertaking such a course of study in Bristol, including living expenses.
Eligibility
Any student who has been accepted for such a programme by the University of Bristol for entry in the 2012/13 academic year and who has substantial links with Hong Kong (ie having resided in Hong Kong for seven out of the last ten years and having completed the majority of their formal education in Hong Kong), and who intends to return to Hong Kong to pursue his/her career.
Short-listed applicants for the Scholarship will be invited for interview in Hong Kong in February or March 2012. Attendance in person is required.
The closing date for return of completed applications is 10 February 2012.
