The Strategic Projects Office provides objective, professional services enabling positive change through process and systems improvements; working collaboratively and cost-effectively, to support the strategic visions of the University.
The Strategic Projects Office is responsible for:
- Supporting the identification, review, revision and enhancement of all administrative processes across the University
- Ensuring that objectives identified in the Business Case for each project, and the overall programme, are delivered
- Developing the project management and process review methodologies to be deployed within the Strategic Projects Office programme, and negotiating with the project managers to ensure they are used effectively to achieve programme and project goals
- Steering and Co-ordinating the portfolio of projects within the Strategic Projects Office programme including: Education systems, Financial systems, Research systems, Personnel systems, E-Learning systems, Information Reporting and Library systems
- Ensuring Communication with key stakeholders is timely and effective and appraising the Portfolio Executive and the University Information Systems and Services Committee of progress achieved, issues encountered, risks and plans for the programme
- Managing business, method, technology, staff and cultural change across the programme on a rolling basis
- Delivering value for money on investment made in the Strategic Projects Office Programme
- Ensuring programme and project developments are compliant with University strategy and policy
