Boathouse
The University Boat Club is situated, halfway to Bath, on a beautiful 5 Kilometer stretch of the River Avon. The setting is ideal for both term time hectic training and competition and out of term tranquil, recreational, lazy summer evenings.
The Boat Club is extremely successful, with an excellent coaching team including a full time International coach (Gordon Trevett). Many of our rowers have gone on to represent Great Britain in World and Olympic Games. Many of these only learnt to row in our Boat Club as novices.
Last year we had over 180 rowers join up both men and women. Over 100 of these were novices who had never rowed before. We cater for both the serious international experienced rowers as well as first time novices.
The Men's First VIII's race in a brand new Empacher racing boat and the Women's First VIII's race in a brand new Vespoli and if you visit the two links below you can see them in action at a variety of boat races across the UK and Europe.
