On 5 November a team of over 20 researchers from QET Labs and High Performance Networks Group took part in the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2021, held at the Business Design Centre in London.  

This was the first face-to-face event the team had attended together since 2019 and it attracted over 800 people and 60+ exhibits. The Showcase is one of the biggest events in the quantum community's calendar and takes place annually to demonstrate growing commercialisation of quantum technologies into the marketplace arising from the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme funding.  

Researchers working as part of the Quantum Enhanced Imaging Hub showcased a twin-beam light source that delivers intensity-noise-supressed measurements tailored to the requirements of biological imaging and other light sensitive samples. Researchers working on the Quantum Communications Hub exhibited their latest technology for handheld devices and quantum cube satellites that will offer perfect quantum security for communications on a global scale.
