To report a malfunctioning Canon MFD - call Canon Service on 0800 0353535 The serial number of the printer will be needed.
Procurement
The University is currently undertaking an assessment of its MFD fleet and during this period, it will not be possible to procure new devices. We will have some clarity on this situation by the end of July. If a device is irreparable, please get in touch.

Moving/Disposing
To move or dispose of a Canon MFD - contact Sustainable Print for advice. MFDs should not be unplugged or moved, even within the same room or building without checking with us first. Printer disposal (PDF, 101kB)
Consumables
To recycle used toner cartridges please seal them in a clear plastic bag (with no other packaging) and send them to the Post Room, 1-9 Old Park Hill. Canon toners are recycled at no cost. All other toners attract a small charge which is paid for centrally.
IT Services
Many study spaces across the University have printers or photocopiers which can be used by students to print, copy or scan. Information on student printing can be found on the IT Sevices website by following the above link.

Printers
The use of MFDs (multifunctional devices) over LBP (desktop) printers have proven advantages. In exceptional cases, use of an LBP may be appropriate, but all orders for LBPs will need to be authorised by the School Managers. LBP (PDF, 73kB)
