The Public and Ceremonial Events Office is experienced in organising hospitality occasions of all types, including dinners, receptions and lunches, both for internal colleagues and for partnership events. If you require advice on the organisation of such an occasion, please get in contact and we will do our best to help.
The following event takes place on a regular basis.
These take place once a term at one of the halls of residence. They aim to provide an opportunity for Emeritus Professors of the University to network with one another and also to keep up-to-date with developments, both strategic and academic, at the University.
Our Autumn meeting will take place in Royal Fort House, BS8 1UH on Thursday 26 November at 12.30 for 1.00pm.
Our guest speaker following the meal will be Jo Elsworth, Director of the University's Theatre Collection, who will speak briefly about the history of the collection and its extensive holdings which make it one of the world's largest archives of British Theatre History. Some remarkable paintings from the collection are hung in Royal Fort House.
On Monday 26 January between 11.00am-12.00pm we have arranged a tour of the Theatre Collection exclusively for the Emeritus Professors' and their guests. The tour is free and if you would like to join please email E.Bird@bristol.ac.uk
If you would like to book yourself a place, please visit the University's online shop.
