Making sense of evidence in health

It is important that health care decisions are appropriately informed by research evidence. Systematic reviews are routinely conducted to collate worldwide sources of such evidence, and statistical analyses ('meta-analyses') of results from multiple studies may be performed within these reviews. Prof Higgins will describe some of his contributions to this endeavour, with particular attention to how we can deal with scientific weaknesses in the studies and with non-replicability of their findings.
