Holocaust Landscapes

Taking the places where the Holocaust was enacted, experienced, resisted and has been variously remembered and forgotten, Tim Cole will revisit the past time/past place of Holocaust Europe. In part he will examine the Holocaust as a place making event - both new kinds of places like ghettos and camps, but also the reuse of familiar places such as forests and roads. But he will also explore the Holocaust at a variety of scales from the continental through the local, as an event that involved movement and stasis.
