Attendance and Eligibility

Registration will close at 5.00pm on Monday 20 May 2013. Please read the information below before registering for graduation.

All postgraduate candidates should read the information for postgraduate candidates before registering.

Attendance

Graduands can choose to attend the ceremony or receive their degree in absentia.

Attending - you will be allocated two guest tickets (as well as your own graduand ticket) for the ceremony. There is no charge for these tickets.
In absentia - your degree will be conferred during the July 2013 ceremonies in your absence and your certificate will be posted to your registered home address after the congregation. It will not then be possible for you to attend a future ceremony for this degree.

Please note that we cannot guarantee students who fail to register by the deadline will be allocated a space at their degree ceremony. You must complete the application process even if you do not wish to attend a ceremony.

Eligibility

Your degree result must be confirmed by Friday 28 June 2013.
Outstanding tuition fees - you will not be permitted to graduate unless all outstanding tuition fees have been settled by close of business 7 days after the last day of Summer Term, i.e. Friday 28 June 2013.
Appeals - you will not be able to graduate until the appeal has been resolved. Any student whose appeal is still outstanding after Friday 28 June 2013 will be withdrawn from the ceremony.
You must register online (or if applicable, complete and return the emailed form) by Monday 20 May 2013.

How can I check my results?

Results, when confirmed, will be available via your Student Info pages.

Should I wait for my result before registering for graduation?

No, you should register for graduation whether you are aware of your result or not.

What if I am not awarded my degree?

If you are not awarded your degree and you have confirmed your attendance for the Summer Term Congregation 2013, you will be automatically put forward to the Winter Term Congregation in January 2014.

Online form

To register to attend a graduation ceremony please confirm by completing the relevant form on your Student Info pages (for current students), or Past Student Info (for former students).

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, please contact the Graduation Office.

Email form

Students who do not have access to the online registration will be sent a form by email, which they should complete and return. We will then confirm receipt of the form.

If you have not received a registration email and you are eligible to attend the ceremony in July, please contact the Graduation Office.
