Print credit

Public printers in branch libraries, the Computer Centre and a number of other locations use a central Printer Accounting Server (PAS) which takes credit from a print account associated with a student's UoB username. Additional print credit can be added to the student print account using this online payments facility.

The central Printer Accounting Server (PAS) is administered by Information Services. There is further information available about the Printer Accounting Server (PAS), which includes the printer locations. However, please note that for security purposes, this further information is only available to those with a UoB account (which includes staff and students).

For the online payments system for payment of print credit, there is minimum payment value of £5 and a maximum (per transaction) of £50. Only whole GBP can be paid into the account. There is no commission or handling charge - the whole payment is added to the student's account.

Important note: please do not make any online payment for print credit before the student has arrived and is attending the University of Bristol. Payments made before this time will not be able to be allocated to the student print account.

The cost per printed page varies depending upon the type of printer. However, the normal charges are 5p per black and white A4 page, and 20p per colour A4 page. Please note: No refunds are given for unused print credit.

Students can view their current print account status, and top-up their account at any time by logging-in to the MyBristol portal.

Other payers can pay on behalf of students by selecting the link below. However, please note that the following information is required:
