Bargain Hunt comes to Bristol

Viewers of popular daytime TV show Bargain Hunt were treated to a short history lesson about the Wills Memorial Building, the landmark building at the heart of the University of Bristol.

Presenter Tim Wonnacott showed the 68m tall Neo Gothic structure basking in the sunshine at the top of Park Street before taking a look inside and ringing the Great George Bell, which at 9.5 tonnes is the seventh largest bell in the country and can be heard 12 miles away.

The segment on Wills Memorial Building is 25 minutes into the show and can be watched via BBC iPlayer.

The programme is due to be repeated on BBC1 at 12.15pm on Thursday, 19 September.
