PhD student Claire Hallissey was the top British runner in the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham on Sunday [11 October].
Claire Hallissey, a PhD student in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, was the top British runner in the International Association of Athletics Federations
(IAAF) World Half Marathon Championships in Birmingham on Sunday 11 October.
Hallissey finished in 25th place with a time of 72 minutes 14 seconds, making her the fifth European to cross the finishing line. This international debut followed her
triumph in the Bristol Half Marathon in September, when she became the first-ever Bristol-based runner to win.
