Dr Michael Hollingsworth, a former Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, died on 29 August.

Dr Michael Hollingsworth, a former Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, died at home on 29 August 2009 after an illness lasting several weeks.

Michael was a leading teacher of thermodynamics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from August 1959 to July 1995. His students voted him the best teacher in the Department.

Michael is survived by his wife, Audrey, and his children Paula and Guy.
