Tuition fees

Fees for both UK/EU and international students are to be found on each programme's respective postgraduate prospectus. These fees are kept up to date.

10 per cent discount for University of Bristol Graduates*

University of Bristol Alumni Scholarship - * graduates (who have successfully graduated within the past ten years) are eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on their tuition fees when a place is secured on any of our postgraduate programmes within the Law School. Offer-holders classed as either Home/EU or overseas tuition fee payers, and either full or part-time students, are all eligible for this award. This award is automatically awarded and no further application process is required.


Postgraduate Master's loan scheme

The Government has introduced loans to help towards the costs of Masters-level study for UK residence. Read more about the benefits and your eligibility for a postgraduate loan.


Scholarships

Competition for scholarships at Bristol is extremely fierce each year. Below is a list of scholarships available to postgraduate taught students at University of Bristol.

  • Commonwealth Shared Scholarship

    Eligible for International Law (LLM) applicants from a Commonwealth country. Please view the website for full details.

  • International Office Scholarship

    All International applicants (who are not University of Bristol graduates) are eligible. Please view the website for full details.

  • American Alumni Scholarship

    Awarded to USA residents on the grounds of academic excellence, financial need, and ambassadorial potential. The scholarship is for one year taught postgraduate programmes in any field of study. Please view the website for full details.

  • University of Bristol Santander Masters Scholarship

    For candidates from Central and South America who demonstrate the highest level of academic achievement. Please view the website for full details.

  • ESRC Studentship

    Exclusive for students studying MSc Socio-Legal studies and MRes Sustainable Futures who want to take a further 3 years of doctoral research. The Economic and Social Sciences Research Council (ESRC) studentship will either partially of fully fund the student's postgraduate research programme. The scheme is open to UK/EU students only, full time or part time. More information.

Employment

Casual employment

Some casual employment within the University may be available, both in term-time and in vacation, provide that this is compatible with the academic requirements of your programme.
