Opportunities

Human Rights Law Clinic
The Human Rights Law Clinic, established in 2009, is designed to involve students in projects which support the work of organisations engaged in human rights work. All projects have an impact at regional and local levels. Further information on the work of the clinic (including the application process) can be found on the HRLC webpage.

Human Rights Careers Advice
The Human Rights Implementation Centre is keen to support students who are interested in embarking on a career in human rights. The Centre hosts an annual careers event, to give students an insight into what it is like to pursue a career in the field of human rights. There is also an opportunity to meet staff at the HRIC, who have a range of experience to draw upon.

AMICUS
There is a branch of Amicus at the University of Bristol which also provides students with particular knowledge in dealing with issues relating to capital trial and punishment in the USA.

HRIC Short Courses
From time to time the HRIC offers short courses and online training for students, policy makers and practitioners.

Internships and Placements
The HRIC and its staff can facilitate internships and placements at national, regional and international organisations. Opportunities also arise which the Centre passes on to its students. Keep checking this webpage or subscribe to our mailing list for details of such opportunities.
